Frustrated at the failure of State and Federal governments to respond effectively to the climate emergency? There is another option.
A campaign led by CACE (Community Action in the Climate Emergency), RSTI (Research and Strategy for Transition Initiation Inc), StP (Save the Planet) and supported by the Climate Emergency Declaration campaign run by DCAN (Darebin Climate Action Network) have succeeded in creating a world first by getting Darebin Council to adopt a council-wide climate emergency plan.
Our campaign has already been taken up by three councils in the USA and a number of Perth based councils are showing significant interest.
Hear first hand from the people involved how we made this happen and how this campaign will be used to catalyze State and Federal government action in Australia and around the world.
