Did you know that food waste is estimated to cost the Australian economy around $20 billion each year. Australian consumers throw away around 3.1 million tonnes of edible food a year. Another 2.2 million tonnes is disposed by the commercial and industrial sector.
Be part of the solution with this engaging and hands on workshop presented by Open Table. You will learn how to use what’s left in the fridge, menu planning to reduce waste, using up parts of vegetables that usually get thrown out, and about effective composting. You will prepare a delicious meal with food from Second Bite food and share the delicious lunch you have prepared.
